Best of Buffalo

People like to knock Buffalo, and that makes me mad! So what if we lost four Superbowls in a row, so what if we lost the Stanley Cup on an illegal goal, so what if the Titans scored a 95 yard cross field lateral to knock us out of the Flutie playoffs! So what if the stupid local politicians can't agree to develop the waterfront! So what if they built UB in Amherst instead of downtown! So what if the metro doesn't go anywhere! So what if 95% of everyone I know left town never to return?
I still love the place and I'll always be from Buffalo.

Best Eats

I mean face it, if you don't know where to eat in Bufftown, you're screwed. There's not much else to do besides eat and drink. This list is my personal favorite list, and I've never brought someone to one of these places and not have them satisfied. If they weren't, I stopped speaking to them because they're obviously wacked out.

1. Anchor Bar. 1047 Main St, Buffalo, 14209 - (716) 883-1134
The standard bearer for crispy wings, the original spot. Don't even try to tell me Duff's is better. If you like a wing like a freakin wet sponge, go right ahead.

2. Maybacks. 1598 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, 14150 - (716) 835-0115
I hate to even tell people about it because it's a Niagara Falls Boulevard secret for the best chicken fingers in town.

3. Gin Gin Chinese. 3244 Sheridan Dr, Buffalo, 14226 - (716) 836-2600
I don't know if this place is still open, but it has the best beef stew noodle soup I've ever had. I compare every soup I've had in my life to this place, like that girl that you can never forget and never find again.

4.Eckl's. 4936 Ellicott Rd, Orchard Park, 14127 - (716) 662-2262
If you don't know, now you know and you've missed out on the best beef on weck you're ever going to find. Not to mention the best lobster bisque you've ever had.

5.The Elmwood breakfast strip. You can pretty much stop at any place on Elmwood art district and have a great breakfast. There's nothing like grabbing a nice bite on a cold winter morning and then strolling along with a cup o' joe looking at the 19th century buildings. Solid Grounds (431 Elmwood, at Bryant, Buffalo, NY 14222 · 716-882-5282) is a standard.

6.Hoak's on the Lake. 54100 Lakeshore Road, Hamburg, NY, (716) 648-4525
Steak ends and the best sunset view in Buffalo. What else do I need to say?
